There are some great details in these six Mario-themed isometric pixel-art images by Redditor colacube. You'll have to click on 'em to embiggen to a size where you'll be able to really make out those details, though.

Showcase: ta2nb's Pixelated Movie Posters

When was the last time you saw a geek-art tribute to Roman Holiday? Or The Graduate? I would argue that Gregory Peck has never been presented in pixel form before, nor will he ever be again.

Did you know that there was a franchise tie-in game called The NeverEnding Story II, developed by LinEL and released in 1990 on DOS and Amiga (and before that, a NeverEnding Story game for the Commodore 64, which I never played)? It was insanely hard and it was all in German (or maybe I just happened to end up with a German-language edition) and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but for some reason when I was thirteen I thought it was amazing. There was also a game released in 2001 by The Adventure Company called Auryn Quest where you play as Atreyu. It looks pretty sub-par, although I'd have to play it to be sure.

Triptych: A Regular Hootenanny

"Regular Show" by Dave Mottram

"Regular Show" by Michael Bisparulz

"Regular Show" by Justin W. Edwards

Triptych: Whale Oil

"Waldun & Co. Whale Oil" by Jenny Peers

"Welcome To Dunwall" by Jeremy Romand

"Greetings From Dunwall" (t-shirt) by Adam Howlett

I'm a pretty big fan of Dishonored. Not a big enough fan to have finished it yet, but still a pretty big fan. I bought all the DLC, for example (even though I'm waiting to play any of them until after I've finished the game.) If you like whale oil and being a sneaky assassin and you haven't played it yet, what's wrong with you? It has literally every single thing of the two things that you like!

Triptych: The Secret Lives of Sprites

"Start Invasion!!" by ta2nb

"Tetris Poster" by GNOO

"Game Over, Earthlings" by Sergey Kostik

I've been holding onto all three of these for quite a while - the Tetris one dates back to 2011, in fact - but for some reason I just never got around to posting them until now.
