Showcase: Bunnelle's Atari Catridges

The impetus behind these Atari cartridge demakes of contemporary games seems to be to create an icon set for RocketDock or ObjectDock. Personally, I use ObjectDock as a launcher, so I may well end up using some of these. At any rate, very nice work. Check out the link below for the full set.

Showcase: 72 Pins

I've been meaning to do a Showcase entry on 72 Pins ever since they first opened up shop last, what, September or so? Anyway, their deal is this: for $16, you can get a custom NES cartridge printed with demake-style game art (the above are only a small sampling of the catalogue they have available). While I would admittedly kill for an actual 8-bit Silent Hill or Okami game, I applaud them for elevating the cartridge to a bona fide art form. Go buy some stuff from them!

I don't have much in the way of a Cthulhu Cthursday today, so instead it's Pyramid Head Day!

¹ Really like the lines on this. Reminds me a lot of Mike Mignola's style.

² Kevin Bolk, the man behind Pot Luck Comics \ Sucks To Be Weegie, did this chibi-style Pyramid Head at a fan's request. As he puts it, "why people would want me, of all people, to draw this character is beyond my understanding."

³ I've posted some of Zed's Limbo mashups before in the past. Lookit how huge Pyramid Head is compared to the Limbo kid! Hyuuuuuuge!
